The dual interface reader SDI011 combines contact and contactless technology in one reader.
It is ISO 7816 and ISO 14443 compliant, and works with smart cards in ID 1 card format.
The SDI011 allows in-field firmware updates. 

Typical applications

The SDI011 dual interface reader combines contact and contactless interface capabilities to support a wide variety of identification applications. It is widely used for applications such as electronic ID and ePassport, e-Banking and e-Commerce.
The SDI011 is based on ISO 7816 for the contact interface and on ISO 14443 at 13.56 MHz supporting type A and B compliant contactless smart cards.
